Timing and objectives of the SecIGD work packages

The main objectives for the WP1 "IGD-TP Secretariat Organization and Management of Activities" are
  • to set up the Secretariat both physically and virtually, to manage its activities and to support the IGD-TP work and its Executive Group
  • to organize the IGD-TP work and activities, to facilitate and support in the organization and management including the risks of the IGD-TP
  • to produce the necessary documentation for the IGD-TP, to provide for their consultation process and to publish them (especially the SRA and the DP), including open access and
  • to act as an information and communication centre for all interested stakeholders and forums about the activities and results of the IGD-TP and to a limited amount about the SecIGD project

The main objectives for the WP2 "Planning for Forms of Cooperation, Deployment and Principles of Deployment" are:

  • to collect experience and develop methods and means for working together in the
IGD-TP towards the vision and according to the SRA produced
  • to develop practical tools and guidelines for managing and agreeing on joint efforts as defined in the IGD-TP Deployment Plan
  • to initiate the first joint activities derived from the vision and SRA and
  • to enable further consultation processes and updates on the SRA and DP at later stages of the IGD-TP process and the SecIGD project.

The objectives for the WP3 "SecIGD Project Management" are

  • to provide for efficient project management, coordination and quality assurance (QA) of the Secretariat project
  • to manage and report the progress and overall finances of the Secretariat project in compliance with the EC financial guidelines and to provide for necessary audit certificate(s) on financial statements
  • to control and quality assure (QA) the delivery of results according to set timetables, milestones, deliverable lists and according to the QA criteria and
  • to organize and manage SecIGD meetings and disseminate information about the project in cooperation with the Secretariat.

All beneficiaries contribute to all work packages, the WP1 being the most important of the work packages. In addition to the project coordinator, SKB will also contribute to the project management work package WP3 at a higher resource contribution level than other beneficiaries, since the project meetings often are organized in connection with the IGD-TP's Executive Group meetings.
